Every Day Capacity Building Grants provide funding to strengthen the effectiveness of public lands friends groups. These grants help fund capacity building projects such as staff and board training, fundraising, and technology and website development. 



The deadline for the of Every Day Capacity Building Grants is April 30th or October 30th.  Twenty-five nonprofit friends groups will receive grant funding of up to $5,000 to support a capacity building project. Every Day Capacity Building Grants are made possible with the support of Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. The support from Toyota has led to the expansion of the Every Day Grants, National Public Lands Day and other public lands programming at The National Environmental Education Foundation.

Applications are now accepted year-round.

The Every Day Capacity Building Grant applications will now be accepted year-round. Applications that are submitted between November 1 and April 30 will be reviewed in the Summer Cycle with 25 grants awarded in August. Applications that are submitted between May 1 and October 30 will be reviewed in the Winter Cycle with 25 grants awarded in February.
